Meeting the Request..

Alright Miss Amanda....here it is...I have complied with your request to "write" something. Yes, I have found myself negligent of my blog...just have developed other interests...(just as you have...giggle...giggle...what's his name again?)....

You're growing up! And so very fast. But...you are doing it right...and I'm very proud of "your attitude"in doing so. You have learned alot about relationships and how people and "their" attitudes affect their ability to have, keep and maintain those relationships...or not....you have had some excellent examples of both good and bad....those who succeed and those who fail. You have learned the difference between the rewards of speaking your mind, but maintaining balance and that of the lesser experience...which creates discord and distance.

You are maturing gracefully and making wise decisions...coming into your own. Life is an exciting challenge...but YOU are well prepared for it. Now comes the challenge of "dating". This too provides opportunity to learn, grow and experience having someone in your life and learning to "blend" the different flavors of everyone in your life...balance is key. I've already seen in you certain abilities that some women can't master...so I'd say...you're off to a strong, mature and sensible start....I'm proud of you sweetie.....keep it REAL...keep it balanced....and keep it wise....but should you ever find that "some" things in your life are not as you would like...check you own position...make sure it isn't "you" who is off center....if it is...it's only a short step to get back in balance...and life gets good again.....but also remember...that sometimes...it isn't "you" who is off balance...it could be someone else close to you has lost thier footing somewhat...just be patient...it all comes full circle! I love you...you're an awesome young lady....who is going to grow into and even MORE awesome young woman...dad and I....IS proud of YOU...LOL

The Jolly Visit

One of Stephanie's best friends brought his wife and baby to see me a few days ago....we had a great visit and they stayed for Michael's wonderful supper...sushi grad tuna on a bed of greens with fruits and a vinegrette...it was awesome! It was a fun afternoon going into evening...

I was officially "accepted" in the usual fashion...a baptism of sorts...after she gave "of herself" to me...she promptly went to sleep....LOL

Come Sail Away...Lake Ouchita...Cuttin' Wind

Had a GREAT time at Mountain Harbour...haven't been sailing in a very long time...I've missed it...I had forgotten how great it was. These are members of the Wilson Crew...

This is one of our "companion" boats that "rescued" some of our younger disenchanted sailors...guess going "tubin'" looked more fun than sailing...
Reddying the main...
Kellie scans the horizon
Stephanie watches the kids on the other boat diving and tubing
Kellie...in the shade of the "jib" sail
Here comes "mom" to rescue the youngest sailor on our crew so he can go tubein'

Kellie holds to a shroud attached to the main (sail)
Stephanie riggin' the main

Stephanie releases the mainsail

Hoisting the mainsail

Had a GREAT time with a fish fry afterwards...I haven't been sailing in years...I've missed it and was reminded why...all day long.
There's something very special about moving only under the power of wind and sail...If you've never done it...you need to put it on the list...Ya'll have a great day...hope you enjoyed the pix

Another great Sunday

Ava peeks from the top of the pool ladder.
My sweet husband and his sweet smile.
Nestle gets introduced to the pool...he's a water dog!
and of course, Hershey cannot be left out...although I don't think he would have minded.
Christina takin' in some sun...and watching the puppies...

We had another great Sunday...food, fellowship and fun...AND...Matthew wrote me a note last night...God is SO good...ALL THE TIME...

Sunday Grillin'...good for the soul...

After our great grillin' Michael enjoys a cigar...my how handsome and sophisticated he looks!
Michael & Ava enjoy a little secret that was told by a little birdie....
Nothin' but smiles and easy times....fellowshippin' and enjoying God's great blessings
Bryan is getting better looking ALL the time....all smiles...he's having a good day!
Easy family humor is a real TUMMY TICKLER for my honey.

We love family get togethers like this...either planned well ahead or last minute...thank you Lord for the genuinely easy good times we have....(Especially a thanks for my new camera that catches it all)!

Christina & Clifton are doing very well and it shows...God is GOOD....ALL the time!
